5. Chakras

1. Chakras, plexuses and churches.

There are three nervous systems in the human body - cerebro-spinal, sympathetic, parasympathetic systems. The sympathetic system consists of two cords that run almost the whole length of the spine.

Plexuses are the network systems associated with sympathetic cords. There is one associated with the heart (cardiac plexus), etc.

The spinal cord, the left sympathetic cord and the left vagus nerve are shown in the figure. Also, in red, the chakras and their connections to the spine.

Here we can see in better detail the connections. The Chakras are etheric flowers on the surface, connected by etheric stems to the corresponding centres in the spine, the CHURCHES, named according to the ancient christian churches (see below).

We can see here the open Chakras, with their colours and petals. When open, the chakras receive and then transform universal energy, known as the Prana, into energy that can be used by the physical and etheric bodies. The chakras are connected to glands, plexuses, and other parts of the body, so that the Prana coming through etheric channels known as Nadis influences and enhances behaviour.

The reason for the names given to the Churches is as follows. The Apostle Paul undertook a spiritual trip, from the city of Ephesus in Asia Minor, to Laodicea, spreading the teachings of Jesus the Christ. We like to honour and remember this trip, by liking it to this other spiritual trip, of the Kundalini up the spine.

3. Awakening of chakras. This can be accomplished in two ways, by mantralization, with the mantras I E O U A M S, as explained in the following lesson on Mantras, and, further, by the ascent of the Kundalini, a source of energy symbolized as an etheric serpent that lies, asleep, coiled three and one-half times in the Mulhadara chakra. When the serpent awakens, the energy goes up by the spine, along an etheric chanel known as the Sushumna. As it passes on the way a Church in the spine, this energy awakens the corresponding chakra. The awakening can be effected by visualization and other ways such as the process known as individuation.

PRACTICES

Awakening the Chakras

1. AWAKENING THE CHAKRAs

Relaxation of body and mind.

Pray to our Being that he awakens our chakras.

The mind being peaceful, concentrate on the 7 chakras vocalising, three times each, the mantras IN-EN-ON-UN-AN-M-S. Then, conversely, three times each, S-M-AN-UN-ON-EN-IN. Transmute the energies with each inspiration.

Pray to our Being to awaken our clairvoyance. Take the mental attitude of a child and recite the mantras MA-MA, PA-PA (the first syllable of each mantra in a strong voice, the second weaker). Then mentally recite the mantras and, in the half-sleep, revive your childhood, see it again in imagination, meditate about it.

2. AWAKENING THE HEART CHAKRA

Relax deeply.

Concentrate on the heart chakra, on the luminous spark of the Being in the heart, and recite the mantra OM MASI PADME YOM (this is the esoteric pronunciation of the well-known mantra ~M MANI PADME HUM), that means: "Oh the Joy in the Lotus" (Oh my God in my heart).

When you vocalise each of the words that compose a mantra, concentrate on a different colour:

OM - See the chakra in a blue colour like a sapphire.

MASI - See the chakra in a yellow colour like a topaz.

PADME - See the chakra in a red colour like a ruby.

YOM - See the chakra in a green colour like a emerald.

3. AWAKENING THE CHAKRAS WITH THE MANTRA AUM

Relax. Pray to the Divine Mother to awaken our chakras. Combine the mantra AUM with the 5 vowels and concentrate on the corresponding chakras to develop the faculties. One must emphasise, on the pronunciation, the vowel that corresponds to the chakra that one is making vibrate.

Mantras AUIM - AUEM - AUOM -AUUM - AUAM.

4. ACTIVATION OF THE CHAKRAS

Relax. The being as spectator, neutral witnessing of the inner experience. The mind being peaceful, concentrate on the 7 chakras vocalising, three times each, the mantras IN-EN-ON-UN-AN-M-S. Then, conversely, three times each, S-M-AN-UN-ON-EN-IN. Transmute the energies with each inspiration.

5. CLAIRAUDIENCE

Relax. Concentrate on the heart and pray to the Divine Mother for her to awaken the chakra of the throat, that is, the chakra of the occult ear. Mantra HEUSÉ-VAUSÉ.

To hear the sounds beyond the physical sounds, listen to the inner worlds.

6. POLYVOYANCE

Relax. Concentrate on the pineal gland, centre of the polyvoyance (that is, clairvoyance plus intuition). Mantra TRIN, to start with in a loud voice, then mentally. Concentrate then on the inner silence, on the "Great Reality".

7 CLAIRAUDIENCE

Relax completely. Concentrate on the heart and invoke the Inner Father so that it awakens the clairaudience (so that we can hear the "voice of the silence.")

Mantra AUN SHIVA TUM E.

Concentrate on the physical sounds, on the different aspects of the organ of the ear, and then on the interior sounds. The old Masters favoured the awakening of the clairaudience, rather than of the clairvoyance.

8. CHAKRA OF THE LIVER

Relax. Concentrate on the liver. Vocalise the mantra FE UIN DAGH (this last sound is guttural). This mantra makes vibrate all the chakras of the astral body.

The awakening of the chakra of the liver gives us the power to go into the astral at will. It is necessary for us to regenerate our liver.

9 AWAKENING OF THE CHAKRAS

Imagine that you are inside a sphere of blue light. Breath this light that soaks muscles and organs, relaxes, calms…

Pray to our Being that he awakens our chakras.

Mantras SUI-RA, SUE-RA, SUO-RA, SUU-RA, SUA_RA, 3 times each, then in inverse order.

Variant: Mantra CHIS, CHES,CHOS,CHUS,CHOS.

10. CHACMOOL AND THE AWAKENING OF THE CHAKRAS

Relax. Lie on your back, with bent knees, the feet flat on the ground (this is the position of Chac Mol), arms along the body. Visualise the sun above you, whose rays impregnate the reservoir of energy that is in our solar plexus; mantra U.

Sit up, and direct your energy towards the chakra of clairvoyance; mantra I. (or towards the clairaudience, mantra E, etc).

11. PRACTICE WITH THE CHAKRA OF TEN THOUSAND PETALS

Relax totally. Imagine the sacred Fire of the Holy Spirit descending from heaven and penetrating into your body by the pineal gland. This Fire activates the Sahasrara chakra, makes it turn, and the 12 central petals to shine; these petals are formed by an infinity of luminous petals.

12. MANTRA INRI

Relax. Pray to the Divine Mother to awaken your chakras with the help of the Fire mantra combined with the 5 vowels:

INRI, ENRE, ONRO, UNRU, ANRA

Direct the sacred Fire towards the corresponding chakras; separate the mantras into two syllables.

14. CLAIRVOYANCE BY THE QUETZAL BIRD

Relax. Calm the emotions and the mind. Imagine the Quetzal bird floating above your head, visualise it with its beautiful feathers and its long tail. Vocalise the mantra PROWEOA.

This mantra allows us to work with the Quetzal bird to bring to the conscious imagination any image of the superior worlds. In this way we see in a clairvoyant manner.

15. INTUITION

Associated with the heart chakra, intuition allows us to have direct knowledge without going through the rational process.

Relax. Concentrate on the heart chakra. Pray the Being to awaken the intuition. Mantra OM.

Variant: Mantra OM MASI PADME YOM

16. TELEPATHY

Seated facing East, relax. Imagine the umbilical chakra like a luminous disk that turns in a clockwise sense.

Pronounce the mantra UN.

17. UMBILICAL CHAKRA

Seated facing East, visualise in the distance an immense golden cross, from which radiate blue golden rays that penetrate the solar plexus. Feel the regenerating action of these luminous rays on the solar plexus and the umbilical chakra, and say the mantras U and RAM.
